Because I saw that of all levels of professionals, it was executives who seemed to have lost (or maybe they never had it to begin with) their grasp on how to conduct an effective job search and on how to do it in a professional manner. Honestly, I think many of them simply don't take their job search all that seriously. At least, they don't act like they do.
Professionalism...It is quickly becoming a lost art, I'm afraid. From scruffy facial hair to baggy jeans to disastrous cell phone and e-mail etiquette, I'm beginning to think that people view their work environments as nothing more than an extension of their college dorm room.
ExecCrossing.com is absolutely the best job site on the web. They have hundreds of jobs at your fingertips. The best part about it is you can create your resume and when you find a job you want to apply for you just click on "apply online" and consider it done. Another nice feature is you can set up agents that only list the job categories you want to see. That way you don't have to scroll through the entire list of jobs. I have had pretty good success with monster.com. My resume has been viewed many times by employer and I have even received a couple phone calls for an interview. I haven't got a new job yet but I will continue to use this site, so should you!
